Media

Year 9  students have key concept lessons to complete which are uploaded weekly for their lesson so they can access these on google classroom as well it being presented by me in lessons. They have an assignment set where they will submit as skillset work document with all their work on so this can be access after their option choices too where feedback will be live. They will each then be taught about theories which will be accessible via google classroom too and will lead them up to their assessment piece. An assessment will be set to be marked and graded from level 1 pass – level 2 distinction so that we know where they are finishing the course in media, before component 1 lessons begin. This assessment will be set on google classroom too as an assignment. Component 1 lessons will then begin which will be set live on google classroom and the teacher will be available on remote access during all these sessions too.

Year 10 – student’s deadline is Friday 5th March for their component one which the teacher will have access to live on google documents. They will have started this before October half term.

Year 11 – Students are working on their component 2 task 1. They have to have their draft 1 (they get 2 drafts) submitted to me before half term so that in return they will be working on that feedback. I will have access to their work live via google documents so a sending draft will be allowed/provided to them if they resubmit after completing my feedback.

Year 12 and 13 – unit 1 and unit 8 examination topics are well underway. Year 13 is looking at an in class teacher lead mock together in groups while year 12 is learning their key analysis skills. Year 13 will sit a mock after half term which they have to provide to me for marking. Year 12 will be working on lessons 5, 6, 7 (Katz, Propp and hypodermic needle) as they are the simplest theories to learn without me in the class.
