Student Responsibilities

EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS

Hastingsbury Business and Enterprise College is your place of work. Just as in any factory or office, there needs to be clearly understood rules and expectations to allow everyone to work successfully, safely and enjoyably. Take pride in yourself and the college.

The 3R’s

Respect

Respect all others’ right to learn by:

Follow instructions.
Listen to each other.
Keep your hands, feet and objects to yourself.
No swearing, shouting or teasing.

Rights

Everyone has the right to:

Feel and be safe in all areas of the college.
To work and learn without interruption.
Be happy.
Be healthy.

Responsibilities

We are all responsible for our own actions – we have a responsibility to:

Arrive on time.
Be equipped for lessons.
Behave appropriately.
Ask for help and support.
Listen to your teacher so that you can understand the aim of the lesson.
